    i. Calculate the specific weight, mass density, specific volume, relative density of 5 litres of a liquid which weighs 25 N.
    ii. A rectangular plate 6 metres long and 2 metres wide are immersed vertically in water in such a way that its 6 m side is parallel to water surface. Find total pressure and centre of pressure on plate if it’s top surface is 1 m below the free surface of water.
    iii. Explain pipe in series, an equivalent pipe and pipes in parallel combination. Write down the relationships for discharge and head loss.
    iv. The diameters of a pipe at sections 1-1 and 2-2 are 300 mm and 500 mm respectively. If the velocity of water flowing through pipe at section 1-1 is 5 m/s, find: Discharge through pipe, and velocity of water at section 2-2.
     v. What is a reciprocating pump? Write down in detail about the main parts and working of single acting reciprocating pump along with neat sketch.
